The story follows Rob and his girlfriend as they drive cross-country from Chicago to San Francisco for their graduation. In one average night at a roadside diner, their lives are cut short as they change from graduating guests into graduating ghosts after being struck by lightning. But wait — there's more! If you've ever seen a horror movie that has ghosts in it, then you know that the dead tend to stay dead. So when Rob and his girlfriend begin to see their recently killed friends back on Earth, they're forced to move on and help them pass over into the next life. The film stars Ryan O'Nan (The Black Dahlia), Robert A. Silverman (Robot & Frank) and Kristen Connolly ("House of Cards," "The Cabin in the Woods,"). "Final Destination 3" (2006) is the third installment in the Final Destination series of horror films, released on August 12, 2006. It was directed by James Wong and stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Wendy Christensen, Ryan Merriman as Alex Browning and Devon Sawa as Nick O'Bannon. A prequel/sequel to "Final Destination 2", it is about a college student who has a premonition of a plane exploding and saving her and most of her friends from boarding it before it crashes, but when they survive she realizes that Death will not be cheated again. When Wendy has another vision of the demise of one of her classmates she decides to help them avoid their fate. The film was released on DVD on March 17, 2007. It was released on Blu-ray on September 15, 2007. A mobile phone game based on the film released in 2011.On May 31, 2012, Warner Home Video announced that it had acquired the rights to release "Final Destination 3" on Blu-ray. The company planned to release it under its new Warner Archive label with an MSRP of $24.99.
